That's all folks...

Well that's it. All back safe and sound. It's been an awesome week with a great bunch if Scouts. It's so good to see the young peoples confidence grow as the week went on by the range of activities we did.

Last Saturday there were some that would of never spent 3 hours scrambling up a gorge, but now they have the bruises to prove they did!

It wasn't all non-stop activities though as we also learnt about the area we were visiting; the quarries, slate mines, nature, The Menial Straite and the way off life.

Lots of fantastic memories no doubt.

I had a fantastic time and hope all the Scouts did and other leaders that freely gave up their time to provide such a great adventure.

Back in Essex

On the M11 now and just entered Essex. Approx 40 minutes until we reach our destination.

The last leg

We are on the last leg of the journey now. If traffic stays quiet we should be back at 5.30pm (within the 30 minute window before we get the home contact to notify families of new ETA).

All clean!

We have finished the 'Pit Stop' at Water World and now heading South towards Essex. ETA is still approximately 5pm.

Not far from swimming pool

We should be at the swimming pool soon. It's birthday number three at camp today (Callum is 11) but we won't make him wear the embarrassing birthday badge in the pool :)

Hello England

We have just crossed the boarder near Chester to cross back into England. Another hour and we should be at Stoke Water World

The journey home begins

The building is clean, bags all packed, kit van loaded and Scouts ready in the minibuses. It's been a fantastic week and we now head to Stoke water - so not quite over yet :)  Bye, bye North Wales...
